The WLC is a group consisting of work camp leaders with some experience behind them. Their task is to take up contact with new work camp leaders and/or new international projects and prepare them for the work camp. This is a task requiring largely individual mentoring.

Advice in fundraising methods, how to structure preparatory meetings, handle the money, do the bookkeeping, communicate with the local contact persons from the project, organize excursions, flights, local transport and whatever else the new work camp leader might come across, as well as assessing the sustainability and social engagement of the project are all part of the task the council undertakes.
