The WCLT is a course specifically to give potential work camp leaders the tools they need to manage a group of people undertaking a project in a foreign country. Games, intercultural communication, leadership styles, financial management and other themes identified at the start of the course form the bulk of the content.

The aim is to give each individual the confidence he or she needs to feel that they can manage the situation.

IDT

The Initiative Development Training is a program that takes place over a series of weekends in the course of which initiative is practiced and developed.

The first session consists in identifying needs and wishes of the participants, grouping these into themes and deciding concretely on what they want to learn. This forms the further structure of the program.

Responsibility for the ensuing weekends is then divided amongst the participants in small groups – workshop leader, venue, catering, program, and the course begins. The coordinators only step in on request should some individual or group not manage.

A lot of space is given for reflection, experiences and personal development.
