Anyone of 16 years and over can apply. If you are not yet 16, you can ask for an exception to be made by mailing us at workcamp(at)idem-network.org

° Fees for the camps can be found on the Workcamp description page and must be paid into the bank account at the bottom of the page.
Please indicate ‘work camp’ followed by the work camp name as purpose on any payments or transfers made.

° Dates of travel may vary, depending upon booking conditions.

° Participation in the preparatory meetings is strongly encouraged. We also expect active participation in the organisation of the camp outside of the preparatory meetings. This applies also to participation in the raising of funds for the project, should this be required.

° The leaders of the camp reserve the right to exclude participants from the work camp, should it prove that conditions for attending are not met.

° For the duration of the work camp and journey, consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited.

° The instructions of the camp leaders are to be observed also by adult participants.

° Enclose written confirmation of  medical and accident insurance abroad or ensure that it will follow by the agreed deadline.  

° Take out adequate medical and accident insurance, including repatriation in case of emergencies. Please fax or send copies of relevant documents to our office at the above address.

° Health: It is important to tell the workcamp leaders if you have any allergies or are dependent on certain medication. Vaccinations (Hepatitis A and B, Yellow Fever, Polio, Tetanus) as well as Malaria prophylactics are the responsibility of each individual and subject to their own risk and judgement.

° On application you undertake to adhere to the conditions of attendance. You also agree to carry any costs incurred through cancellation.

° Security is generally good; nevertheless please be aware that this excursion into an strange town may involve certain risks.

Confirmation and Preparation:
Confirmation of application follows from the workcamp leader, who will notify you that you have a place, send you the guidelines to the camp and notify you of the dates of preparatory meetings, as well as any actions happening in your area.
