Idem – Identity through Initiative brings socially engaged young people into a network with projects that have responded to a local need within their situation and community.

The volunteers and young people are searching for initiative and action, but based on insights into what is sustainable and socially responsible. These insights are the result of an inner process of reflection. It is their way of identifying with the world and with themselves – therefore Identity through Initiative.

Experiences in other cultures and social conditions, organized teamwork and practical activity are the means by which a strong personal identity, an identification with specific tasks in the world, is gradually developed.
